THE BARRETT GROUP, INC. PRIVACY POLICY
The Barrett Group, Inc. is a marketing agency that helps other businesses operate sweepstakes, contests, and other types of promotions ("promotions") for their clients, employees, and the general public. Individuals who choose to participate in a promotion, or in the case of an online sweepstakes may be entered automatically by performing a required task, will supply personally identifiable information for the purpose of contacting them to fulfill the promotional offer or a prize if they win. The Barrett Group, Inc. takes its privacy obligations to its clients and to the individuals who enter its clients’ promotions very seriously.
As a promotional marketing agency, The Barrett Group, Inc. operates promotions and sweepstakes/contests on behalf of its clients. As part of those services, The Barrett Group, Inc. is required to collect personally identifiable information from its clients’ customers, the general public, or their employees who win in their clients’ promotion(s) in order to award the prizes and/or depending on the size of the prize, to comply with Federal and State tax regulations. In addition, The Barrett Group, Inc. provides PO Boxes for mail-in entries, winners lists requests (as required by law), and for clients to forward information from points of entry they may have set up. The Barrett Group, Inc. collects such personally identifiable information solely for the purpose of administering the operation of a promotion. The Barrett Group, Inc. does not use any of the data collected other than to notify potential winners for prize fulfillment in connection with a promotion and/or to provide tax reporting as required by law. The Barrett Group, Inc. does not aggregate data collected from various promotions and does not sell data collected in any manner whatsoever.
The Barrett Group, Inc. strictly limits access to all personally identifiable information within its organization and all data is securely maintained. Personally identifiable information collected by The Barrett Group, Inc. on behalf of a client belongs solely to the client and will be used solely in accordance with that client's privacy policy. An individual's desire to "opt-out" of receiving marketing or other information from a client will be handled in accordance with that client's privacy policy. The Barrett Group, Inc. is not responsible for data collected on behalf of its clients when such data is in its client's possession.
The Barrett Group, Inc. has the ability to collect data other than personally identifiable information for the promotions it operates online. The Barrett Group, Inc. may collect information about a computer configuration, such as a browser type, operating system or ISP domain name. This information will not reveal an individual’s identity, but may be used by The Barrett Group, Inc. to administer the technical and operational aspects of this site. The Barrett Group, Inc. may use “cookies” to assist in performing some or all of these activities and to limit an individual’s ability to play a promotion more times than stipulated in the Official Rules of that promotion.
The Barrett Group, Inc. does not conduct online promotions to anyone under the age of 13. The Barrett Group, Inc. does operate some promotions on behalf of its clients that may collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13, however no personally identifiable information will be collected from children under the age of 13 or from any minor (below the age of majority in the state in which they reside) without parental consent.
